FIBC is an event that showcases pitches from up-and-coming distinguishable, as well as already flourishing, start-up businesses in the FinTech industry. It has also been referred to as gateway to success for FinTech start-ups businesses. In 2017, 15 companies from overseas and 14 domestic companies from Japan participated, each introducing their service in pitch contest-style competition form. The presentations as well as its operations were conducted in English. It became a stimulating place where people from the world’s leading edge of FinTech engaged in discussions and attendees got to know the coming trend of the FinTech industry all while in Japan.
