JERA is joint venture established in 2015 by TEPCO Fuel & Power and Chubu Electric Power Company with a mission of “To provide cutting edge solutions to the world’s energy issues” With the goal of creating an internationally competitive energy company for Japan, they continue to take on energy issues domestically and internationally, leveraging the value chain they have developed over the years.

JERA booth at POWER-GEN ASIA2019 in Malaysia

Bigbeat had a great opportunity to work with JERA, a company involved in businesses related to the entire supply chain from fuel procurement to power generation, exhibited at POWER-GEN ASIA 2019 with the aim of developing the Southeast Asian market. POWER-GEN ASIA, which held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, is a major comprehensive power industry-related event in Asia, which celebrated its 27th edition in 2019. It is one of the industry's largest exhibition events, with exhibitors from 60 countries around the world and more than 8,500 visitors expected.

Bigbeat proposed a design that would allow their staff and visitors to conduct business discussions while looking at the walls, using graphics on the walls that show the overall picture of their business. In addition, large monitors were installed on all four sides to maximise visitor attention.

With extensive support from staff fluent in English, we promoted thorough task management while building relationships with local partner companies in Malaysia. To focusing on making more useful contacts with visitors at the exhibition, the operations staff was divided into two teams: one team focused on hospitality by distributing drinks, etc., and the other team focused on collecting business cards and questionnaires.
